Week of July 20th

Student Commons


At the student commons we are continuing with the interior and exterior trim work. Also we have finished drywalling the side lounges and are in the process of taping them. We have formed up the back path to the parking lot in the back. We also finished the mortar bed for the servery tile and set the frame for the servery line. On the site we are starting to form up the front curb to the driveway. Next week we will continue with trim work, tiling at the servery and framing the servery box.






Fine Arts Buildings



At the fine arts this week we finished all of the wall panels except there is a little bit more fabric to install. We finished up most of the final coat of paint on the interior as well. The exterior flatwork was all poured and sawcut. The only remaining flatwork to do is the parking stalls at circle drive. The fireline connection is about done and will finish early next week. All of the bathroom partitions were installed and most of the toilet accessories. Next week we will finish up trimming out the buildings inside and do general cleanup.

Tallant Science/Quad/Richardson Hall

At Tallant this week we finished installing all MEP rough-in and started drywall. The framing of the main skylight will be finished Monday of next week and also the rest of the misc framing in the top landing. The lath and paper has been installed at the exterior for the stucco work and will be first coated next week. Next week we will finish drywall and tape all of the walls.

At the Quad they finished most of the storm drain and have started the fireline. Next week they will finish up both the fireline and storm drains.

Richardson Hall was pretty quiet this week, but next week will see the start of the framing.

Week of 7/13

Student Commons

At the student commons last week we finished forming, reinforcing, pouring and sawcutting the topping slabs. The white blanket ontop of the floor is a curing blanket. Also we have started the exterior trim around all of the windows. The bollards were placed in front of the gas meter so that we can have PG&E turn on our gas this week. The site out in front of the student commons is currently a stockpile area for the offhaul from the Quad but will begin again this week when we do some staking for the curbs along the front of the building. This week also we will be continuing with the interior and exterior wood trim and will be starting on the walls and servery box.







Fine Arts Buildings


At the fine arts we have finished the yellow color coats of exterior paint and are finishing up the white trim. All of the underground drainage is in place and backfilled. All of the concrete walkways are formed and ready to be poured. At the interior of the buildings we are working on wall panels and finishing up some minor details. This week we will be finishing up the wall panels and also installing the toilet paritions and toilet accessories in the bathrooms. Once the wall panels are done we will be finishing up the tectum ceilings.

Tallant Science Center

At the science center we have had a busy week. We finished up all of our MEP rough-in and were signed off by the town. Also we finsished up most of the window installations, ceiling framing, and seismic work. The walls were insulated and we are prepared to start sheetrock on 7/20. This week we will be sheetrocking, finishing minor pickup framing, and installing the final windows. Also we will be waterproofing the first floor at ground level in preparation for concrete and stucco.

Quad and Richardson

Last week we demolished the entire quad and imported dirt to get it back to grade. This coming week we are installing all of the underground utilities that are required. At Richardson we formed, reinforced and poured the footings and stem wall. This week we will be framing up the new wall.
