Week of 6/22

Student Commons

At the student commons this week we had a monumental accomplishment. The long awaited Renlita Doors showed up and are currently being installed. Also we are working on the ceilings panels and bathroom trim. The finish coat of stucco is ongoing and the PV system is being installed. The backroad is being addressed and we should be finishing that up shortly. The kitchen is finished with their stainless and will finsh their fire system next week. Also next week we will be finishing the doors and kitchen and also starting to prepare the main room for the topping slab.







Fine Arts Buildings


At the fine arts this week we poured half of the walkways and the concrete stairs. We also have done a first coat of paint on the inside of the buildings and started the wood base. Next week we will be continuing the concrete work, wood base and interior wall panels.

Sitework

On the site this week we started the underground utilities and preparing the site for curbs. Also we are installing the new electrical service to the back of New House. Next week we will finish the electrical service, other underground utilities and preparing the rest of the Fine Arts building hardscape.

Tallant Science Center/Richardson Hall

At Tallant we finished demo and finished all of the rough wall framing. Next week we will start installing the new windows and the MEP subs will start their rough-in.

At Richarson Hall we finished the demo of the wall and are now currently sawcutting and excavating for the new footings.

Week of 6/15

Student Commons

At the student commons this week we installed our first coat of plaster on the building as well as finished installing all of the roof panels. All of the exterior door frames are installed minus one. All of the kitchen equipment is onsite and mostly installed including the hoods and walkin box. The tectum ceiling has begun and will be continuing through next week. We also installed the drop ceilings in both bathrooms. Next week the long awaited Renlita doors show up onsite and will be installed.

Site Work

As soon as the coast was clear we demolished the lower parking lot and curbs. Now that all of the asphalt and curbs are gone we have surveyed the site to proceed next week with further demo and underground utility work. Also next week we will start the underground electrical to the Fine Arts buildings.

Fine Arts

At the fine arts this week we installed the hardwood floor at the music room. Installed the rest of the casework in the ceramics room and finished the grading for the exterior concrete work. The concrete seat bench has been formed up and poured and the rear stairs have been formed up. Next week we will be pouring a lot of the exterior concrete work and stairs as well as finishing up the rest of the interior trim at the music room and the sealing of the concrete floors in the ceramics and digital media rooms.

Tallant Science Center

We have started the 2nd floor of the TSC and have completed most of the demo and abatement work. Once testing is passed we will begin the framing work.

Richardson Hall

Richardson Hall work commenced this week with plastic protection and shoring installation. Next week we will begin the demolition of the wall.
