At the student commons this week we have been pretty busy. We finished installing the final trusses for the roof and have started the bridging between them. We have also roofed both wings of the building and have them under test(the water on the roof in the pictures). The plumbers have almost finished their rough-in and the electrician is finishing up his fire alarm wiring now that the roofs are dry. The framers also are going back and finishing up a lot of pick up work like furring out the exterior concrete walls to allow the MEP trades to finish their work. Next week we will be continuing with the roof framing and possibly starting the steel overhangs at the front of the building. Also we will be installing the mechanical ductwork and finishing the hydronic piping in the kitchen and bathroom wings.
Fine Arts Buildings
At the Fine Arts this week we installed the roof at the ceramics building, and finished up the electrical, plumbing and fire sprinkler as well. The framers finished framing in the enclosure for the kiln and the electicians finshed up their rough-in for the music Building. Next week we will be starting to get the front walkways of each building done as well as the footings for the canopies. Also we will be finishing up the rough-in for the fire sprinkler at the music building and the remaining rough-in at the ceramics building.
