Weeks of 10/13, 10/20, 10/27

My apologies for not posting the last couple of weeks. We had an incident out here at our jobsite trailer where a number of things were stolen including my camera and computer which are vital to bring you this blog. We are now back up and running so please look for the weekly postings to continue. Thanks for your patience.

Student Commons

Over the past two plus weeks there has been a lot going on. We have finished up the underslab drainage, plumbing, electrical, fire water, domestic water, and telecom. The footing have been dug, reinforcement has been placed and we are now looking to reinforce the slab-on grade this week. We are looking to pour the Slab-on-Grade on Wednesday November 5th. This will be a very long day for all involved.

Fine Arts Buildings

At the Fine Arts we have finshed the building pads and have dug for the footings. The reinforcement is going in this week and we are planning to pour the footings on October 31st. We also have finished all of the rough grading around the builidngs and are bringing in the new utility services to the building.

Week of 10/6

Student Commons

There was a lot going on this week at the New Student Commons. We finished up the underslab drainage and most of the underslab plumbing. We also installed our new Grease Interceptor for the new kitchen. We also finished up the front "Landsaver". We have begun layout for the foundation and also starting the final compaction on the new access road off of 71 Fernhill's driveway. Next week we will be starting the digging for the footings and finish the under parking lot work so that we can finish up the back parking lot for paving.

Fine Arts Buildings

At the Fine Arts we have graded the site and have installed the new "Landsaver", as well as the storm drain running away from the Landsaver. We have also finished reframing the roofing at New House that was needed after the demolition of the New House addition. Next week we will be continuing the storm drain system and starting on the under building utilities.

Week of 9/29

Student Commons

This past week we finished up the main trunk line for the underslab sewer lines and finished crossing the street with the storm drain. We have started the branch lines for the plumbing and the underslab drainage system. We also are crossing the 71 Fernhill Ave driveway with the strom drain system. Next week we will be delivering and installing the new grease interceptor for the kitchen.


Fine Arts Building

At the Fine Arts building we have brought the sewer line up to within 5 feet of the new buildings and are installing the new Landsaver water retention system. We have also finished framing and papering the New House repairs. The classroom has since been reopened for the schools use.
