Week of 9/22

Student Commons and Fine Arts

We have finished up the sanitary sewer line outside of the new building and are now doing the main sanitary sewer underneath the building pad. We have finished the first of three "Landsavers", which help with the dispersement of ground water. We also are starting the underslab drainage and electrical work early next week.









At the Fine Arts, we have piped the sanitary sewer and cleared the site. After the demolition of the addition to the New House we have reframed and should reopen the affected classroom early next week.

Week of 9/15

Student Commons and Fine Arts
Over the past two weeks at the Student Commons we have finished up the Rammed Aggregate Piers/Helical Mini Piles, tied into the exisiting fire line, and connect the storm drain. Once the piers were complete we regraded on top of the building pad and now are ready to start the sanitary sewer, underslab drainage and concrete in the next couple of weeks. Also we have been working on widening the 71 Fernhill Driveway which will be complete within the next week or so.

At the Fine Arts site we have demolished the addition to the New House and have started clearing the site.

Week of 9/1

Tallant Science Center



The students re-entered the Tallant Science Center this week for all of their scheduled classes. During the week we have mostly been doing a little bit of pickup work here and there including patching the plaster walls at the bathrooms and the TSC. We are also finishing up getting the new mechanical system fully functioning. This will be accomplished by the end of the day Monday.

Student Commons and Fine Arts



The Student Commons project is moving right along. We have finished 95 percent of the drilling and will wrap that up next Tuesday. We have also finished the new fire water and domestic water lines and done all the necessary tie-ins and inspections. Next week we hope to start getting the building pad finished up to be able to start the sanitary sewer and the rest of the other underground utilties. We have also started to form the new road down from the 71 Fernhill shared driveway.



The Fine Arts Building is slowly coming along. We are currently placing the new sanitary sewer in the ground after hitting a few roadblocks. We will be demolishing the addition to the New House next week. After that is complete we hope to start clearing and grubbing the site to prepare for the rest of the underground utilities.
