Student Commons and Fine Arts

We finished up the storm drain and patched the parking lot outside the gym and it has since been striped in prepartation for school to begin. We are now confined inside our fence lines during the school year. We are continuing work on the storm and fire water lines. The rammed aggregate piers(RAP's) will be done this week with a few helical piers to be installed next week.

At the Fine Arts we are awaiting the relocation of the telecom/data lines to move forward with the demolition of the addition to the new house. We have started the sanitary sewer and hope to finish that up next week.

The student commons and fine arts buildings are continuing at the early stages. We are currently finishing up the storm drain in the existing parking lot to get it ready for the start of school. We are also working on the storm drain and fire water lines on the commons site. At the fine arts we have been pretty quiet, but next week we will be demolishing the addition off of the New House building. We have patched back all of the open trenches around the Tallant Science Center and will have the parking lot patched by the middle of next week in front of the gym.

Week of 8/11

Tallant Science Center
We are really progressing at the Tallant Science Center now. This past week we waterproofed the floors, leveled a couple of rooms, finished the walls and started the install of the cabinets. Other items we are finishing up are the mechanical system for the building as well as started painting. The new bathrooms are coming along nicely and will be fully tiled by Monday. The windows and exterior doors showed up and have begun to go in. So next week we will be finishing up the cabinets, windows, doors, and flooring.

Student Commons and Fine Arts

At the student commons we have finished the building pad and are wrapping up the new storm drain system early next week. Next week we will also be finishing up the new fire water line as well. We did a test Rammed Aggregate Pier(RAP) on Friday which some people might have heard due to it being a loud operation. We will be installing all of these RAP's next week. Most importantly we had the power poles relocated after we finished the underground joint trench.

At the Fine Arts building we have started preliminary layout and grading. We will most likely be demolishing a part of the New Building next week and starting the sanitary sewer.
