Weeks of 12/22 and 12/29 - Happy New Year

I hope everyone had a nice relaxing holiday and I hope everyone has a wonderful New Year.

Student Commons

The past two short weeks have been slow around Branson due to the rain and holidays. We have backfilled behind some of the retaining walls and waterproofed behind the others. The two boardformed wing walls are now being stripped. The framing will start on Jan 5th.

Fine Arts Buildings

The past two weeks at the Fine Arts have been plagued by the same issues as the Student Commons. The rain plus the holidays have only allowed us to continue the framing at both buildings. This will continue for the next few weeks.

Week of 12/15 - Early Happy Holidays

Student Commons

This week at the student commons we poured the remainder of the retaining walls and the two main board-formed wing walls. We have also started stripping them as shown in some of the photos. We also starting backfilling behind the northern retaining wall in preperation for starting framing next week. As you can see in some of the photos it was a bit cold out here this week bottoming out around freezing( note the layer of white on the field and gym roof).

Fine Arts Buildings
Not much has gone on this week at the Fine Arts. The framers have started and completed the pony walls for the crawlspaces. They will begin the floor framing on Monday. Other than that not much else is going on due to the rain.

Week of 12/8

Student Commons

This week at the student commons we have formed up the two board formed wing walls. As you can see in the pictures the front of these walls will have the grain of the wood boards shown into the concrete. The concrete guys have also finished forming the retaining wall along the southwestern side of the site. All of these walls will be poured next Tuesday 12/16. We have also stripped most of the other concrete walls of their formwork. Our framers have started to layout for their walls and will start to frame next week. We have finished up 90% of the underground work in the back parking lot and are now in the final stages of grading it and getting the last gas line to the building. Once this is complete we will be putting some asphalt in. All of the steel in erected and plumb. We have measured for our windows as well. The northeastern side of the site has been waterproofed and will be backfilled next week.

Fine Arts Buildings

At the Fine Arts Buildings we have finished all of the waterproofing and have backfilled up against the retaining walls. We have also finished the sewer connection at the building from New House, although we still have to tie-in to it on the New House side. Our framers have started setting mud sills and pony walls. Next week they will finish this up.
